Getting There

Walking
From the Jaisalmer Fort, exit the main gate and head southeast towards the main road (Gandisar Lake Road). Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach a T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto Postal Colony Road. Continue walking for approximately 500 meters; you will see Gadisar Lake on your right. The entrance to the lake is easily accessible from the road.

Auto Rickshaw
Find an auto rickshaw near the Jaisalmer Railway Station or the main market area. Tell the driver to take you to Gadisar Lake, located in Postal Colony. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Upon arriving, the lake entrance will be on your right side.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main bazaar area and head towards Fort Road. Continue straight until you reach the main junction, then take a right onto Postal Colony Road. Cycle for about 2 kilometers, and you will find Gadisar Lake on your right. There are bike racks available near the entrance.

Take a local bus from the Jaisalmer Bus Stand towards Postal Colony. Make sure to check with locals about the bus schedule. The bus ride should take around 20 minutes. Get off at the Postal Colony stop, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Gadisar Lake. Follow the signs along Postal Colony Road to reach the lake.
