Getting There

• Bus

  From Jammu, head to the Jammu Bus Stand, which is located near the city center. You can take a local rickshaw or walk there if you're close. At the bus stand, look for buses heading to Srinagar or other destinations in the Kashmir Valley. Buses typically run frequently throughout the day. Purchase your ticket for a seat on the bus, which will take you through beautiful landscapes over the next few hours. The journey to Srinagar will take approximately 8-10 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

• Train

  If you prefer traveling by train, you can take a train from Jammu Tawi Railway Station to Udhampur. From Udhampur, you will need to take a taxi or a shared cab to reach Jammu's main road. There are limited direct train services to Kashmir Valley, and traveling by train to Udhampur is the closest option. After reaching Udhampur, you can catch a bus or taxi towards Srinagar or further into the Kashmir Valley. Check the train schedules in advance to ensure your travel plans align.

• Shared Taxi

  For a quicker option, you can opt for a shared taxi. Head to the shared taxi stand in Jammu, where you'll find taxis heading to various destinations in the Kashmir Valley. Look for taxis going directly to Srinagar. Shared taxis are faster than buses, with a travel time of about 6-8 hours. Be prepared to share the ride with other passengers, which can make it more economical.
