Walking
If you are starting from the Jodhpur Railway Station, head southwest on Station Road towards the intersection. Continue straight until you reach the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto Mandore Road. Walk for about 2 km until you reach the intersection with Residency Road. Turn left onto Residency Road and continue for 1 km. You will see the entrance to Umaid Bhawan Palace on your right. Walk past the palace towards the gardens, and you will find the path leading up to the Ummed Palace Sunset Point. The total walking distance is approximately 3 km and should take around 40-50 minutes.
Rickshaw
From your location in Jodhpur, you can easily catch an auto-rickshaw. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Ummed Palace Sunset Point' in the Cantt Area. The driver will take you through the main streets of Jodhpur. Depending on traffic, this should take around 15-20 minutes. The fare typically ranges from 100 to 200 INR. Ensure you have some cash handy, as not all drivers accept digital payments.
Local Bus
Look for a local bus heading towards the Cantt Area. Buses in Jodhpur are usually marked with their routes. Get on a bus that has a sign indicating 'Cantt Area'. It will take you close to the Ummed Palace. Check with locals or the bus conductor to confirm that the stop is near your destination. After getting off, you may need to walk a short distance (about 500 meters) to reach the sunset point, which is located near the palace gardens.
