Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Srinagar. Head towards the Boulevard Road, which runs along the picturesque Dal Lake. You can use local landmarks such as the Lal Chowk as a reference point. From Lal Chowk, take the Boulevard Road and follow the signs towards Dal Lake. The lake is approximately 3 kilometers from Lal Chowk. Look for parking spaces along the Boulevard Road as you approach the lake, keeping an eye out for signs indicating various attractions and shikaras (traditional boats) available for hire.
Public Transportation
To reach Dal Lake using public transportation, you can take a shared taxi or auto-rickshaw from Lal Chowk. Look for auto-rickshaws that have 'Dal Lake' as their destination. The fare should be minimal, and the ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Dal Lake, and they will drop you off along Boulevard Road, where you can easily access the lake and its surrounding attractions.
