If you are driving, head towards Sonmarg from Srinagar via NH44. The distance is approximately 80 km and takes around 2-3 hours. Upon reaching Sonmarg, park your vehicle in the designated parking area. From here, you can either trek to Thajiwas Glacier or hire a pony or a local taxi.

To reach Sonmarg by public transport, take a bus from Srinagar to Sonmarg. Buses are available from the general bus stand in Srinagar. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Sonmarg, you can walk to the glacier or hire a pony for the trek to Thajiwas Glacier.
