Getting There

Walking
Start from the Kohima War Cemetery, which is a well-known landmark. Head northeast on the main road (NH 2) towards Kohima town. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the junction near the Kohima Police Station. At the junction, take a right turn onto the road that leads towards PWD Junction. Follow this road for about 2 km, keeping an eye out for local signposts. As you approach the PWD Junction, you will see a sign directing you toward Phizo Hill. Ascend the hill via the marked trail that begins near the junction. The hike will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Kohima local market. Head towards the main road (NH 2) and ride towards the Kohima War Cemetery. From there, follow the same route as described for walking. After reaching the PWD Junction, you can secure your bicycle at a safe spot and complete the final ascent to Phizo Hill on foot. The cycling journey will take around 15-20 minutes to the junction.
