Start your journey at the Kohima War Cemetery, which is a central landmark in Kohima. From the cemetery, head southeast on the main road (National Highway 2). Continue walking for approximately 2 km until you reach the junction for Zakhama. At this junction, take the left fork onto the Zakhama road. Follow this road for about 5 km, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding hills and villages. As you approach Zakhama, you will notice signs for Rhododendron Park. Keep an eye out for these signs. Once you enter Zakhama, the park entrance will be on your right side. It’s a short walk from the main road to the park entrance.

From Kohima, head to the local bus station located near the Old Secretariat Complex. Look for buses heading towards Zakhama. The bus journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the bus conductor to alert you when you reach Zakhama. Once you arrive, disembark at the Zakhama junction. From there, walk about 500 meters down the road; you will see signs directing you to Rhododendron Park. The entrance will be on your right.
