Car
If you're driving to Leh Palace, start from Leh town center. Head towards the main market area and look for the signs pointing towards Namgyal Hill. The road will take you uphill; follow it for about 2 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Leh Palace on your left. Parking is available nearby, though it can be limited during peak tourist seasons.
Public Transportation
You can take a shared taxi or local bus from Leh town to Namgyal Hill. These usually depart from the main taxi stand near the market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Leh Palace. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The fare for a shared taxi is around INR 50-100 per person, while a local bus may cost less.
Walking
If you're up for a walk, you can reach Leh Palace from the main market area on foot. Start from the main market and walk towards the direction of the Shanti Stupa. Continue along the road that leads uphill towards Namgyal Hill for about 2 kilometers. The path is scenic, and you will enjoy views of the town and surrounding mountains. It may take around 30-40 minutes to walk depending on your pace.
