Walking
Starting from the Leh Main Market, head southwest on Fort Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Changspa Road. Turn left onto Changspa Road and walk for another 1 kilometer. You will see signs pointing to the Red Maitreya Temple. Follow the signs, and after a short ascent, you will arrive at the temple.

If you are at the Leh Palace, exit the palace grounds and walk down towards the main road. Turn left and follow the road for about 600 meters until you reach the main market area. From there, continue on Fort Road heading southwest for about 1.5 kilometers. Then, turn left onto Changspa Road and proceed for another kilometer. Keep an eye out for signs leading to the Red Maitreya Temple, which will be a short distance uphill.

From the Shanti Stupa, exit and head down towards the town center. Follow the road leading to the Leh Main Market. Once you reach the market, continue on Fort Road for 1.5 kilometers. At the Changspa Road junction, take a left and walk for 1 kilometer. Look for directional signs to the Red Maitreya Temple. The temple is located a bit uphill from the main road.
