If you are in the Hazratganj area, you can easily catch an auto-rickshaw. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Zoo Toy Station, located inside the Lucknow Zoo at Narhi. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the zoo.

You can take a public bus from various locations in Lucknow. Look for buses heading towards the 'Zoo' or 'Hazratganj'. Once you reach Hazratganj, disembark and ask locals for directions to the Lucknow Zoo. It is a short walk from there, approximately 1 kilometer. Follow the signs directing towards the zoo entrance.
