Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the heart of Mahabaleshwar. Head southeast on Main Road and continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction at Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road. Turn left onto Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road and follow it for another 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Lodwick Point. Take a right turn towards Lodwick Point and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. Egle Point will be on your left. Parking is available near the viewpoint, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply, which can range from ₹20 to ₹50 depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a local bus from the Mahabaleshwar bus stand heading towards Panchgani. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Lodwick Point. From there, it is a 1-kilometer walk to Egle Point. Follow the path leading towards the viewpoint; it is well-marked and should take about 15 minutes on foot. Ensure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as services may be limited in the evening.

• Taxi or Auto-Rickshaw

  You can also opt for a taxi or auto-rickshaw for a more convenient option. Simply hire a taxi from Mahabaleshwar and request to be taken to Egle Point. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Expect to pay between ₹200 to ₹400 depending on the negotiation and distance. Make sure to arrange for them to wait for you, as public transport options are limited in the area.
