Getting there

Car

If you are driving from the center of Mahabaleshwar, head towards the Old Mahabaleshwar area. Start from the main market and take the Mahabaleshwar - Panchgani Road (NH 66). Continue straight for about 5 km, following signs for Old Mahabaleshwar. Once you reach the fork near the Old Mahabaleshwar temple, take the left turn onto the road leading to Arthur Seat Point. Continue along this road for approximately 2 km, and you will find Hunting Point on your right, near the scenic viewpoints such as Arthur Seat and Castle Rock Point. Parking is generally available along the road, but it may incur a small fee depending on the time of year.

Public Transportation

To reach Hunting Point via public transport, you can take a local bus from the main bus stand in Mahabaleshwar to Old Mahabaleshwar. Buses are frequent and the fare is quite affordable (approximately ₹10-20). Once you reach Old Mahabaleshwar, you can either walk or hire a local auto-rickshaw to take you to Hunting Point. The distance from the bus stop to Hunting Point is about 1.5 km, and an auto-rickshaw ride will cost you around ₹50-100. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.

Walking

If you are already in the Old Mahabaleshwar area, you can walk to Hunting Point. Start from the Old Mahabaleshwar temple and take the road towards Arthur Seat Point. It’s about a 30-minute walk (approximately 2 km), and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way. Follow the signs for Arthur Seat, and keep an eye out for Hunting Point on your right. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven in places.
