Getting there

Walking

From the center of Manali, head towards the Mall Road. Walk along Mall Road until you reach the junction at Old Manali. Continue straight onto the Hadimba Temple road. Follow the road until you reach the Hadimba Temple area, which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. From Hadimba Temple, take the path leading to Vashisht village. After reaching Vashisht, ask locals for the direction towards the Atal Tunnel. The tunnel is approximately 25 km from Vashisht.

Public Bus

To reach Atal Tunnel using public transport, start from the main bus stand in Manali. Look for buses heading towards Keylong or Rohtang Pass. Board a bus to Keylong and inform the conductor that you want to get off at Atal Tunnel. This journey may take approximately 1-2 hours. Once you reach the vicinity of the tunnel, you may need to walk a short distance or ask for local transportation options.

Taxi or Rickshaw

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw from Manali. Head towards the Old Manali area and ask the driver to take you to Atal Tunnel. The journey will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your ride.
