Walking
From the center of Manali, head towards the Old Manali area. You can start by walking along the Mall Road, which is the main street in Manali. Continue walking until you reach the junction where you can see the sign for Old Manali. Take the right turn that leads you towards Old Manali and follow the road until you reach the riverbank. Cross the river via the wooden bridge. After crossing, you will see a small path leading up the hill on the left, which will take you towards the village of Bashisht.

From Manali, you can take a local bus to the village of Bashisht. Head to the local bus station, which is close to the main market area. Look for buses heading towards 'Bashisht' or 'Vashisht'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Bashisht bus stop. After getting off, you can either walk towards the Hampta Pass Snow Area or hire a local guide or porter to assist you with the remaining trek.

Once you are in Bashisht, you will need to start your trek towards the Hampta Pass Snow Area. From the village, follow the well-marked trail leading towards the Hampta Pass. It's advisable to take a local guide if you are unsure of the path. The trek from Bashisht to Hampta Pass takes about 4-5 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
