Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main square in McLeod Ganj. Head southeast on Jogibara Road towards Bhagsu Nag. Continue on this road for about 3 km. You will reach a fork in the road; take the left route towards Tahu. Follow the road for about 5 km, and you will find signs directing you to Bangotu View Point. There is limited parking available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a shared taxi or bus from McLeod Ganj to Tahu. Shared taxis leave from the main square frequently and cost around ₹50-₹100 per person. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you reach Tahu, you may need to walk about 1.5 km to reach Bangotu View Point. Look for local signs indicating the direction to the viewpoint.
Walking
If you enjoy hiking, you can also hike to Bangotu View Point from McLeod Ganj. Start at the main square and head towards Bhagsu Nag, then take the path leading towards Tahu. The hike is approximately 8 km and offers beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep in some sections.
