Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Take the NH2 road from Kohima towards Chümoukedima. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the Viswema village junction. From there, take a left onto Dzükou Valley Road. Drive for approximately 6 km until you reach the Dzüko Valley parking area. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for the rugged terrain, as the road can be challenging.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Kohima, you can take a public bus or shared taxi heading towards Chümoukedima. Get off at the Viswema junction (approximately 30-40 minutes travel time). From the junction, you can hire a local taxi or arrange for a pickup to take you to the Dzükou Valley parking area, as public transport does not go directly to the valley.
Trek
Once you arrive at the Dzüko Valley parking area (which may incur a nominal parking fee), you will need to trek about 5-6 km to reach the valley itself. The trek is moderately challenging and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. It is advisable to wear good trekking shoes and carry water and snacks. The path can be steep and rocky, offering beautiful views along the way.
