From Kohima, you can take a local bus heading towards Viswema. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Kohima. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you reach Viswema, you will need to walk or hire a local taxi to get to Dzükou Valley Road where the trek begins.

Trekking

To reach Dzükou Valley from Viswema, you will need to trek approximately 4 to 5 kilometers. The trek starts from Dzükou Valley Road and is moderately challenging, taking around 2 to 3 hours to reach the valley. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry sufficient water and snacks for the hike.

Local Taxi

If you prefer not to walk from Viswema, you can hire a local taxi to take you to the trek starting point on Dzükou Valley Road. The taxi fare is usually around ₹300-₹500, depending on your negotiation skills. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes.
