Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start your journey from major cities in the Northern Plains like Pune or Nashik. From Pune, take the NH 60 towards Satara and then merge onto NH 66 at Kankavli. Continue on NH 66, passing through Sawantwadi and then take the exit towards Amboli Ghat. The total distance from Pune is approximately 360 km and will take around 6-7 hours depending on traffic. Look for road signs indicating Amboli Ghat as you approach the area.
Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, you can take a train or a bus to the nearest major town, which is Sawantwadi. From Mumbai, take a Konkan Railway train to Sawantwadi which takes about 8-10 hours. After reaching Sawantwadi, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to Amboli Ghat, which is around 30 km away. Taxi fares can range from ₹500 to ₹800 depending on negotiation and public transport buses cost around ₹50-₹100.
Taxi Services
If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider booking a taxi from nearby cities such as Goa or Kolhapur. Ensure you arrange for a return trip as taxis may not be readily available in Amboli Ghat.
