Walking
If you are starting from the Panaji Bus Stand, head south on Dayanand Bandodkar Road toward 18th June Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will reach a junction; take a left onto 18th June Road. Walk past the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception and continue straight. Once you reach the end of the road, take a right onto the narrow road leading to Fontainhas. After a short walk, you will see the Rainbow Stairs located at FRWJ+H87, Fontainhas (quarter), Altinho, Panaji.

Walking
If you are near the Mandovi River, start walking toward the Adil Shah Palace. From there, head east on the road along the river for about 500 meters. Turn left onto the road that leads up to Altinho. Continue walking uphill until you reach the Fontainhas area. The Rainbow Stairs will be on your right at FRWJ+H87.

From the Goa State Museum, exit the museum and head south on the road towards the Mandovi River. Walk for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with 18th June Road. Turn right and continue straight. As you approach Fontainhas, take a left onto the smaller road leading to the Rainbow Stairs at FRWJ+H87.
