If you are in the heart of the French Quarter, start by heading towards Goubert Avenue. Look for the prominent landmark of the Gandhi Statue located at Bharathi Park; this will help orient you. From the statue, walk straight down Rue Dumas towards Goubert Avenue. Once you reach Goubert Avenue, turn left. Continue walking along Goubert Avenue for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Old Customs House on your right. It's a beautiful historical building with a distinct colonial architecture, right by the promenade.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the French Quarter. Start at the rental shop and head towards Rue Dumas. Cycle down Rue Dumas until you reach Goubert Avenue, then turn left. It’s a short ride of about 5-10 minutes to reach the Old Customs House. Ensure to park your bicycle safely at designated bicycle racks near the site.

For a quicker option, you can hire a cycle rickshaw (also known as a 'pull rickshaw') from any nearby spot in the French Quarter. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges between ₹50 to ₹100 for a short ride. Ask the rickshaw puller to take you to Goubert Avenue. Once on Goubert Avenue, inform them to drop you near the Old Customs House, which is easily recognizable. This ride will take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.
