Pune Local Bus
If you are in central Pune, head to the main bus station, Pune Swargate. From there, take a bus heading towards Pune Cantonment. Look for buses that have stops at Wanawadi or are specifically heading to Pune Cantonment. The bus fare is very affordable, typically around ₹10-₹20. Once you get off at the Wanawadi stop, Mahadji Shinde Chhatri is a short 10-minute walk away. Head down Wanawadi Road, and you will see the Chhatri on your left.
Rickshaw
From anywhere in Pune, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to Mahadji Shinde Chhatri. Just tell the driver "Mahadji Shinde Chhatri, Wanawadi Road". Make sure to negotiate the fare or ask the driver to go by meter. The fare may range from ₹50 to ₹150 depending on your starting location. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the Chhatri.
Walking
If you are staying in the nearby Pune Cantonment area, you can walk to Mahadji Shinde Chhatri. Start on Wanawadi Road and head towards the address FVRW+MW3, which is where the Chhatri is located. It's a pleasant walk, and you will see various local shops and cafes along the way.
Public Transport (Metro or Bus)
If you are near a metro station, take the metro towards the nearest stop that connects to Pune Swargate. From Pune Swargate, switch to a local bus that heads towards Pune Cantonment. After arriving at Wanawadi, Mahadji Shinde Chhatri is a short walk from the bus stop.
