Walking
From the center of Pushkar, start by heading towards the Pushkar Lake. Walk along the main road (Brahma Temple Road) that leads to the lake. Once you reach the lake, continue walking around it until you see the entrance to the local market (Pushkar Bazaar) on your right. Enter the market and navigate through the narrow lanes filled with shops. Keep walking straight until you reach the end of the market. After exiting the market, turn left onto the main road (Ajmer Road) and continue walking. Look for signs or ask locals for directions towards Shri Vishwamitra Ashram, which is near Butterfly Valley. Once you reach the ashram, Butterfly Valley is located just a short distance away, identifiable by its picturesque hiking trails.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Pushkar. Start from the main square near Pushkar Lake and cycle towards the Ajmer Road. Follow the same route as pedestrians: head towards the Pushkar Bazaar and exit at the end. Once on Ajmer Road, keep an eye out for signage indicating the direction of Shri Vishwamitra Ashram. Cycle along the road until you reach the ashram, and from there, it is a short ride to Butterfly Valley.
Local Transport (Rickshaw)
For a quicker option, you can hire a rickshaw from any point in Pushkar. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Butterfly Valley or near Shri Vishwamitra Ashram. The drive will take you through the streets of Pushkar and drop you off close to the ashram. From the ashram, you can follow the walking path to Butterfly Valley, which is nearby.
