Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Police Bazar area in Shillong, head towards the Laitumkhrah road. Walk straight along the main market street until you reach the Laitumkhrah junction. From there, take a right onto the Laitumkhrah road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for the Spread Eagle Falls sign on your left as you approach a small road leading into the woods.

• Public Transport

  From Police Bazar, you can take a local taxi or shared cab towards Laitumkhrah. Inform the driver that you want to go to Spread Eagle Falls. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Laitumkhrah, ask the driver to drop you at the nearest point to the falls entrance. From there, you may need to walk for about 10-15 minutes along a small footpath that leads to the falls.

• Bicycle Rental

  You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Shillong, especially around Police Bazar. Once you have your bike, head towards Laitumkhrah along the main road. The ride will take around 20 minutes. Upon reaching Laitumkhrah, look for signs directing you to Spread Eagle Falls. Park your bicycle at the entrance and walk the remaining distance along the footpath leading to the falls.
