Walking
If you are starting from Mall Road, walk towards Lakkar Bazar. From Lakkar Bazar, take the left turn towards the road that leads to Chota Shimla. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at Chaura Maidan. Turn left onto Chaura Maidan Road, and you will see the Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Nivas) on your right.
Auto Rickshaw
You can hire an auto rickshaw from various points in Shimla, such as the Mall Road or the Ridge. Simply tell the driver to take you to Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Nivas) near Observatory Hill, Boileauganj. The fare is typically around ₹50-₹100 depending on your starting point. The auto will drop you off at the entrance, which is a short walk from the main lodge.
