If you are in the Mall Road area of Shimla, start by heading towards the Ridge. From the Ridge, walk towards the Lakkar Bazaar, and then take the bus or shared taxi towards Mashobra. The bus stop is located near the Church on the Ridge. Once you get on the bus, you will need to get off at the Charabra stop, which is about 8 km from the Mall Road. After disembarking, walk towards NH 22, and you should see signs directing you to the Shimla Water Catchment Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a short walk from the bus stop towards the sanctuary entrance.

From the Mall Road, head to the nearest bus stop and take a local bus heading to Mashobra. Ensure to check with the bus conductor or driver that the bus will stop at Charabra. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Charabra bus stop, you will need to walk towards NH 22. Look for signage for the Shimla Water Catchment Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a short walk away from the road.
