Nestled in the heart of Shimla, the Town Hall stands as a magnificent example of heritage architecture. This iconic building is a must-visit for tourists, offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region. With its stunning façade and historical significance, it serves as a focal point for the vibrant life along the Mall Road.
Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From any point on Mall Road, head towards the direction of the Shimla Church, which is a notable landmark. Continue walking straight until you reach the prominent intersection where the Mall Road forks. Town Hall is located a short distance ahead on the same road. Look for the signboard indicating 'Town Hall' at 453F+X87, which will guide you to the entrance.
Walking
If you are closer to the lift that connects the lower part of Mall Road to the upper area, take the lift up. Once you exit the lift, turn left onto Mall Road and walk straight for about 5-7 minutes. You will see Town Hall on your right, shortly after passing the Gaiety Theatre.
Walking
If you are at the Ridge, a popular open space near the Mall Road, walk down towards the Mall Road and follow the road to the left. Continue walking until you see the Town Hall on your left, just after the Indian Coffee House.
Use Town Hall as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
