If you're driving from Chennai, take the NH 45 towards Viluppuram. After approximately 140 kilometers, take the exit towards NH 66 and continue for about 25 kilometers. Follow the signs for Gingee and you will arrive at Gingee Fort located at 792V+2WQ, Tiruvannamalai Rd, Gingee, Tamil Nadu 604202. There are parking facilities available at the fort entrance. Note that fuel costs and toll charges on NH 45 may apply.
By Train
Take a train from Chennai to Villupuram, which is well-connected to major cities in South India. From Villupuram, hire a taxi or take a local bus to Gingee, which is about 30 kilometers away.
