If you are in the city center of Thiruvananthapuram, start at the East Fort area, which is a prominent landmark. From East Fort, head west towards MG Road. You can walk along MG Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bustling area around Palayam. Here, you will find various shops and eateries. Continue straight along the main road, which will take you towards the Shangumugham area. As you walk, you will pass by important landmarks like the Kerala State Science and Technology Museum. Keep following the main road until you reach Shangumugham Beach Road.

From the city center, you can take a local bus from the East Fort Bus Station. Look for buses that go towards Shangumugham Beach or Vallakkadavu. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to notify you when you reach Shangumugham Beach. After getting off, follow the signs towards Shangumugham Beach Road, and you will find Beach View Point a short walk away.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire an auto rickshaw from any point in the city. Simply tell the driver 'Shangumugham Beach' or use the address 'FWH6+FW8, Shangumugham Bch Rd, Vallakkadavu'. The ride will take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The auto rickshaw will drop you off close to the Beach View Point, and you can easily walk to the viewpoint from there.
