The Enchanting Musical Fountain in Udaipur

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the City Palace, exit the palace complex and head towards the Lake Pichola. Walk along the lakefront path, enjoying the view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to the Jag Mandir Island, which is located directly across the lake. You will see signs pointing towards the Musical Fountain. Cross the road to the boat dock and purchase a ticket for a boat ride to Jag Mandir Island. The boat ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at Jag Mandir, follow the signs to the Musical Fountain, which is located near the island's main area.

• Auto-Rickshaw

  From the Udaipur City Center, locate a nearby auto-rickshaw stand. Tell the driver to take you to 'Musical Fountain at Jag Mandir.' The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you at the boat dock near Lake Pichola. From there, buy your ticket for the boat ride to Jag Mandir Island. After the boat ride, follow the signs towards the Musical Fountain once you reach the island.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city. Start your ride from the City Palace and head towards the Lake Pichola. Follow the lakeside road, which is scenic and mostly flat. When you reach the boat dock, park your bicycle securely and buy a ticket for the boat ride to Jag Mandir Island. After enjoying the ride, disembark and follow the signs to the Musical Fountain.

• Local Bus

  Find the nearest bus stop and take a local bus heading towards the Fateh Sagar Lake area. Inform the conductor to let you off near the boat dock for Jag Mandir. After getting off, walk to the boat dock and purchase a ticket for the boat to Jag Mandir Island. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the Musical Fountain.
