Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Varanasi Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, called Station Road. Walk straight along Station Road for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Godowlia Road. At this intersection, turn left onto Godowlia Road. Continue walking for another 1 km until you reach the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat. From Dashashwamedh Ghat, follow the riverbank along the Ganges for about 2 km. You will pass several ghats along the way. Look for signs directing you to Assi Ghat as you approach. Finally, when you reach Assi Ghat, you’ll see the vibrant atmosphere and the ghat’s iconic temples.
