Car
If you are driving to Begor Mukh, start your journey from Kolkata. Take the NH16 highway towards Howrah. After approximately 40 km, merge onto the NH19 towards Bardhaman. Continue on NH19 for about 80 km until you reach the town of Bardhaman. From Bardhaman, take the State Highway 6 towards Muidipur. Follow the signs to Muidipur and keep an eye out for the Damodar and Mundeswari River Separation Point. The total travel distance is around 130 km and will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
Train
For those preferring to travel by train, board a train from Kolkata Howrah Junction to Bardhaman Junction. Several trains operate on this route, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Bardhaman Junction, hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach Muidipur. The distance from Bardhaman to Begor Mukh is roughly 50 km, and this leg of the journey will take an additional 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Ensure to check train schedules and book your tickets in advance.
Bus
You can also take a long-distance bus from Kolkata to Bardhaman. Buses leave from various terminals in Kolkata, including Esplanade and Howrah. The bus ride takes around 2-3 hours. After reaching Bardhaman, switch to a local bus or take a taxi for the remaining 50 km to Muidipur. Local transport may charge around ₹50-₹100 for the bus and ₹500-₹800 for a taxi from Bardhaman to Begor Mukh, depending on the mode of transport you choose.
Auto-rickshaw
Once you reach Muidipur, if you prefer a smaller vehicle, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you to Begor Mukh. The fare for the auto-rickshaw should be negotiated beforehand and typically ranges from ₹200-₹300 for the short trip to the Damodar and Mundeswari River Separation Point.
