Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from major cities like Ahmedabad or Surat, take National Highway 48 towards Bharuch. From Bharuch, continue towards the coastal town of Diu following the signs. Once in Diu, head towards the Sir Creek area. The road will lead you through the picturesque landscapes of Gujarat. Make sure to follow local signage to reach Sir Creek, as GPS can be inaccurate in this region. Expect a drive of approximately 10-12 hours from Ahmedabad, so plan for rest stops and fuel along the way.

• Bus

  You can take a state-run bus from major cities such as Ahmedabad or Surat to Diu. From there, you will need to hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Sir Creek. The bus fare generally ranges from INR 500 to INR 800 depending on the class of service. The bus journey may take around 12-15 hours, so be sure to check the schedule ahead of time.

• Train

  Board a train from Ahmedabad or Surat to Veraval or Junagadh. From either station, hire a taxi or use local transport to reach Diu. The train fare varies from INR 300 to INR 1500 based on the class of travel. The train journey takes about 8-10 hours, and from Veraval or Junagadh, plan on an additional 2-3 hours of travel by road to Sir Creek.

• Local Taxi

  Once you reach Diu or any nearby town, local taxis are available to take you to Sir Creek. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which can range around INR 1000 to INR 2000 for a one-way trip. The journey from Diu to Sir Creek will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on road conditions.
