    Public Transport - Bus

    From downtown Gary, head to the nearest bus stop at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus number 10 towards the East Chicago Metra Station. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the East Chicago Station. Once there, transfer to the South Shore Line train heading to Chicago. After about 45 minutes, disembark at the Millennium Station in Chicago. From the station, head northeast on East Randolph Street for about two blocks until you reach South Columbus Drive. Turn left and walk for another block until you reach the Chicago Riverwalk at 36 Chicago Riverwalk.

    Public Transport - Train

    Begin your journey at the Gary Metra Station located at 5th Avenue and Washington Street. Board the South Shore Line train headed towards Chicago. Make sure to check the schedule for train times. The ride will take around 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Millennium Station in Chicago, exit the station and walk northeast on East Randolph Street for two blocks. Turn left on South Columbus Drive and continue walking straight for one block until you arrive at the Chicago Riverwalk at 36 Chicago Riverwalk.
