From downtown Gary, walk to the nearest bus stop on Broadway Ave (Route 20). Board the bus heading towards East Chicago. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer to Route 10 at the East Chicago Station. Continue until you reach the stop at Halsted St & Briar St in Chicago. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk north on Halsted St to the Briar Street Theatre at 3133 N Halsted St.

From downtown Gary, walk to the Gary Metro Station. Take the South Shore Line train towards Millennium Station in Chicago. After about 50 minutes, get off at the Millennium Station. From Millennium Station, transfer to the CTA Red Line at State & Washington. Take the Red Line northbound towards Howard and get off at the Belmont Station. From the Belmont Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south on Halsted St to reach Briar Street Theatre at 3133 N Halsted St.
