If you are in Gary, start by walking to the nearest bus stop that services the Gary Public Transit. Take the bus towards Chicago. Depending on your starting point, you may need to transfer buses at the Gary Transportation Center. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the downtown Chicago area. Disembark at the nearest stop to the Chicago Loop. From there, walk east towards the Chicago River, and head towards 111 E Wacker Dr. You should see the Chicago Architecture Center, located right by the river.

Public Transit - Train
Make your way to the nearest South Shore Line station in Gary. Purchase a ticket to the Millennium Station in Chicago. The train ride typically takes about an hour. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, exit and walk towards the Michigan Avenue. Head north on Michigan Ave and then take a left on E Wacker Dr. Continue walking until you reach 111 E Wacker Dr, where the Chicago Architecture Center is located.

If you are already near downtown Gary, you may choose to walk to the Gary Public Transit Center located at 100 W 4th Ave. From there, take the bus to Chicago, or if you feel adventurous, you can walk to the South Shore Line train station at 6th Ave and W 11th St. It’s about a 20-minute walk. Once you reach the station, follow the train guidance as mentioned above to get to the Chicago Architecture Center.
