Public Transit
To reach the Clarke-Ford House at 1827 S Indiana Ave, Chicago, IL from Gary, Indiana, first head to the Gary Metro Center. Use the South Shore Line train service towards Millennium Station in Chicago. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, exit the station and make your way to the nearby 'State/Lake' subway station. Take the 'Green Line' train towards 'Cottage Grove' and get off at the 'Harold Washington Library' station. From there, transfer to the 'Red Line' subway towards '95th/Dan Ryan' and get off at the 'Cermak-Chinatown' station. Finally, exit the station, walk east on Cermak Road, and then turn north on Indiana Avenue. The Clarke-Ford House will be located on your left at 1827 S Indiana Ave.
