Bus
From downtown Gary, walk to the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus terminal located at 100 W 4th Ave. Take the Route 1 bus towards the 'Gary Metro Center.' After approximately a 30-minute ride, transfer at the Metro Center to the South Shore Line train towards 'Chicago Millennium Station.' Once you arrive at Millennium Station, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the Monadnock Building located at 53 W Jackson Blvd. Head east on E Randolph St, then turn left onto S State St, and finally right onto W Jackson Blvd.
Train
Walk to the Gary Metro Center located at 100 W 4th Ave. From there, take the South Shore Line train towards 'Chicago Millennium Station.' The journey takes about 40 minutes. After exiting the train at Millennium Station, walk east along E Randolph St. Turn left onto S State St, and then right onto W Jackson Blvd. The Monadnock Building will be on your right.
Bike
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Gary. Start your ride by heading east on 4th Ave towards Broadway. Continue on Broadway until you reach 5th Ave, then turn left. Follow 5th Ave to the Gary Metro Center, where you can catch the South Shore Line train to Millennium Station in Chicago. After arriving, bike east on E Randolph St, turn left on S State St, and then right on W Jackson Blvd. The Monadnock Building will be on your right.
