    Public Bus

    From downtown Gary, head to the nearest bus stop on Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation bus number 3 towards the South Shore Line. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes, then get off at the stop for the Gary Metro Center. From there, transfer to the South Shore Line train towards Chicago and ride for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the Millennium Station in Chicago. Once at Millennium Station, exit the train and walk to the nearby 'State/Lake' station. Take the 'Pink Line' train towards 54th/Cermak and get off at the 'Polk' station. From Polk station, walk west down Polk Street, then turn right onto W Madison St. The United Center will be on your left at 1901 W Madison St.
