From downtown Gary, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) Route 10 bus towards the South Shore Line. After about 30 minutes, get off at the South Shore Line station. From there, transfer to the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. Once you arrive at the Millennium Station in Chicago, exit the train and walk to the State/Lake station. Take the Red Line train towards Howard and get off at the Belmont station.
