Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach the Aquatorium at 6918 Oak Ave, Gary, IN 46403 via public transport, start by locating the nearest bus stop. Look for the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus routes. You can take Bus 10 which travels towards Miller Beach. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop at 15th Avenue & Oak Ave. From there, walk east on Oak Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Aquatorium. Keep an eye out for the building marked with the Aquatorium sign.

• Bicycle

  If you're comfortable cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental service. Begin your journey at downtown Gary and head southeast on 5th Avenue. Continue until you reach the intersection with Lake Street, then turn left. Follow Lake Street until you reach the intersection with Oak Avenue. Turn right on Oak Avenue and continue straight for approximately 1.5 miles. The Aquatorium will be on your left side, marked with its distinctive signage.

• Walking

  If you prefer walking to the Aquatorium, start at the Gary Metro Center located at 100 W 4th Ave. Walk east on 4th Avenue toward Broadway St. Turn left onto Broadway and continue until you reach 15th Avenue. Turn right on 15th Avenue and proceed until you reach Oak Avenue. Turn left onto Oak Avenue and walk approximately 1 mile. The Aquatorium will be situated on your right at 6918 Oak Ave.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more convenient option, you can use a taxi or rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft. Simply enter the destination as '6918 Oak Ave, Gary, IN 46403' in the app. The driver will take you directly to the Aquatorium. This is an efficient choice if you prefer not to navigate public transport.
