Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from downtown Lafayette, head northeast on Main Street toward 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street and continue straight for about half a mile. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto the US-52 N ramp. After a short walk, you will pass the Wabash River on your right. Continue walking for about a mile, and as you approach the intersection with Tapawingo Drive, look for the entrance to Tapawingo Park on your left.

    From downtown Lafayette, rent a bike and head east on Main Street toward 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street and bike straight until you reach the Wabash River. Follow the river trail north, which will eventually lead you to Tapawingo Park.
