Car
From Morgan-Monroe State Forest, head north on State Road 37 (IN-37 N) for approximately 15 miles. Merge onto I-69 N via the ramp to Indianapolis. Continue on I-69 N for about 5 miles. Take exit 200 for I-465 N towards Fort Wayne. Merge onto I-465 N and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 40B for Post Rd (IN-67 N). Turn left onto N Post Rd and drive about 1 mile, where you will find Fort Harrison State Park on your right at 6000 N Post Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46216.
Public Transportation
To reach Fort Harrison State Park via public transportation, take a local bus service from Morgan-Monroe State Forest to the nearest transit hub in Bloomington. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Indianapolis. You will need to check the local transit schedules for exact times. Once in Indianapolis, you can take bus route 39 (Post Road) which will take you directly to N Post Rd. Get off at the nearest stop and walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach Fort Harrison State Park at 6000 N Post Rd.
