If you are starting from downtown South Bend, head south on S Michigan St toward W Colfax Ave. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach W Washington St. Turn left onto W Washington St and walk for about 0.7 miles. After that, turn right onto S Main St and proceed for about 0.3 miles. Then, take a left onto W Ireland Rd and continue for about 1 mile. Finally, turn right onto S Gertrude St. The Rum Village Nature Center will be on your right at 2626 S Gertrude St.

From downtown South Bend, take the Transpo bus number 7 (South Bend Public Transportation Corporation) towards the Southtown Mall. Board the bus at the nearest stop and ride for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop on S Michigan St at S Bend Ave. From there, walk south on S Michigan St for about 0.2 miles until you reach W Washington St. Turn left and continue for another 0.5 miles before turning right onto S Main St. Walk for 0.3 miles, then take a left onto W Ireland Rd. Walk for about 1 mile, then turn right onto S Gertrude St. The Rum Village Nature Center will be on your right at 2626 S Gertrude St.
