From Yellowwood State Forest, exit the park and head west on IN-46. Follow IN-46 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with US-231. Turn left onto US-231 South and continue for about 12 miles. When you reach Waveland, turn right onto IN-47 West. Continue on IN-47 for about 2 miles, then turn left onto S 890 W. Shades State Park will be on your right at 7751 S 890 W, Waveland, IN 47989.
