Bicycle
If you are in Ubud, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south on Jl. Raya Ubud and continue until you reach Jl. Raya Sukawati. Turn left on Jl. Raya Sukawati and keep cycling for about 4 kilometers. You'll notice signs directing you to Batuan. The area is relatively flat, making it a pleasant ride.
Public Transport (Bemo)
Look for a bemo (local minibus) heading towards Sukawati. You can catch one from the Ubud Market or other main roads in Ubud. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Batuan. The fare is usually quite low, around 10,000 IDR. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Batuan stop, and you will be close to your destination.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in the Sukawati area, you can walk to Batuan. Start from the Sukawati Art Market and head east on Jl. Raya Sukawati. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will start seeing signs for Batuan. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to reach your destination on foot.
