If you're starting from Ubud, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south towards Jl. Raya Ubud and take a left onto Jl. Penestanan. Follow this road until you reach Jl. Campuhan, then continue to Jl. Penatahan. The temple should be in sight, located at Jl. Penatahan - Wongayagede, Tabanan. The ride is scenic and takes about 1.5 hours.

From Kuta, take a Bemo (a local mini-bus) to Tabanan. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Tabanan bus station. Once there, you can catch another Bemo heading towards Penebel. Inform the driver to stop near Pura Luhur Batukaru. The total journey may take around 2-3 hours depending on waiting times.

Rent a motorbike from a local rental service in Seminyak. Head east on Jl. Sunset Road, then continue onto Jl. Raya Kerobokan. Follow the signs towards Tabanan. Once you reach Jl. Penatahan, you will find Pura Luhur Batukaru on your left. The total riding time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
