From Denpasar, head to the Ubung Bus Station. Take a bus heading towards Tabanan. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Penebel, which is the nearest town to Pura Luhur Batukaru. The bus ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Penebel, you can take a local 'angkot' (minibus) or a motorbike taxi to reach Pura Luhur Batukaru.

Motorbike Rental
If you're comfortable riding a motorbike, rent one in either Kuta, Seminyak, or Ubud. From Ubud, head north on Jalan Raya Ubud, then take a left onto Jl. Raya Tegallalang. Continue until you reach Jl. Penatahan - Wongayagede, where you will find signs for Pura Luhur Batukaru. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours, and the roads can be winding, so drive safely.
