Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are staying in the central area of Canggu, you can easily walk to Canggu Beach. From the popular spot 'Echo Beach', head south along the beach pathway. This should take you approximately 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye on the beach signs to ensure you're heading in the right direction.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Canggu. Cycling is a popular and eco-friendly way to explore the area. Head west on Jl. Batu Mejan towards the coast, then turn right onto Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong that leads directly to Canggu Beach. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes and costs about 50,000 IDR for a day's rental.
Scooter Taxi (Go-Jek or Grab)
If you prefer not to walk or cycle, you can use a scooter taxi service like Go-Jek or Grab. Open the app, input 'Canggu Beach' as your destination, and wait for a driver to pick you up. The fare is usually around 10,000 to 15,000 IDR depending on your starting location within Canggu.
Public Transport (Shuttle Bus)
While there are no direct public buses to Canggu Beach, you can take a shuttle bus from Seminyak or Kuta to Canggu. Look for shuttle services like 'Bali Shuttle' or 'Perama' that run between these areas. Once you arrive at the Canggu stop, you can walk to the beach, which is about a 15-minute walk from the drop-off point.
Use Canggu Beach as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
