Walking
If you are starting from the center of Ubud, walk north along Jalan Raya Ubud. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Jalan Petulu. Turn left onto Jalan Petulu and keep walking straight. You will notice signs directing you towards the Petulu Heron Bird Colony. The walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Ubud. Once you have your bike, head north on Jalan Raya Ubud. After around 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Jalan Petulu. Continue for about 700 meters until you reach the Petulu Heron Bird Colony. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes.

Public Transport (Bemo)
Take a Bemo (small local bus) from the Ubud Market area heading towards Petulu. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Petulu Village. The fare is usually around 20,000 IDR (approximately $1.50 USD). Once you arrive, it’s a short walk of about 10 minutes to the Heron Bird Colony, where you can follow the signs.
