Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center of Bandung, start at Alun-Alun Bandung (Bandung Square). Head southeast on Jl. Asia Afrika towards Jl. Merdeka. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jl. Diponegoro. Turn left onto Jl. Diponegoro and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. Gedung Sate will be on your right at Jl. Diponegoro No.22. Look for the iconic building with a unique architectural style and a tall flagpole out front.

  • Public Transport (Angkot)

    From the city center, you can take an angkot (public minivan) with the route number D (or any angkot heading towards Diponegoro). Board the angkot and inform the driver you are going to Gedung Sate. The driver will drop you off at the nearest stop, which is only a short walk to Gedung Sate located at Jl. Diponegoro No.22. From the angkot drop-off point, walk east for about 5 minutes until you see the building.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the city center. Start from Alun-Alun Bandung and head southeast on Jl. Asia Afrika. Continue to Jl. Merdeka and then take a left onto Jl. Diponegoro. Bike along Jl. Diponegoro heading towards Gedung Sate, which is approximately 1 kilometer away. You will find bike lanes along the route, making it an enjoyable ride. Once you reach Gedung Sate, you can park your bike at the designated area.
