Car
From Borobudur, head southeast on Jl. Jend. Sudirman towards Jl. Raya Borobudur. Continue onto Jl. Raya Borobudur for about 5 km. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Jl. Raya Kulon Progo and drive for approximately 10 km. Follow the signs for Jl. Pasir Mendit, and after another 5 km, you will arrive at Mangrove Jembatan Api-Api (MJAA). Parking is available on-site.

From Borobudur, take a local bus or a minivan labeled 'Kulon Progo' from the bus terminal. The fare is approximately IDR 20,000. The ride will take about 1 hour. Get off at the nearest stop on Jl. Raya Kulon Progo. From there, you can hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) for about IDR 15,000 to reach Mangrove Jembatan Api-Api (MJAA).
